A Great Act To Follow

We believe a revised Education Act can be in effect for the beginning of the 2012/13 school year because the Municipal Act is a great Act upon which to base the new revised Education Act.  In other words, most of the work is already done!

** We believe the Director of Education should be a ministry employee, responsible to ensure all ministry policies and procedures are correctly implemented and that all school board decisions comply with ministry directives while still taking direction from the trustees. The Director should be accountable to the ministry.
